Lecture on "Medical Image Processing"
Image-Based Therapy Support
The courses in the “Medical Image Processing” program at TU Berlin, taught by Prof. Anja Hennemuth, introduce the types and formats of medical image data (ultrasound, MRI, CT, histological images, etc.) along with their characteristic properties and preprocessing requirements. In the exercises, techniques for extracting and quantifying anatomical structures as well as functional information (motion, blood flow, perfusion) are introduced and examined. Participants will learn:
- how spatiotemporal information is represented in medical imaging
- segmenting and modeling anatomical structures
- how to extract physiological information from 4D image data
- how to implement and integrate these techniques
