Development of a non-invasive and rapid screening method

based on nanoparticles for detecting tuberculosis in exhaled air

Über das Projekt

TEXD is developing a mobile point-of-care system for the rapid diagnosis of tuberculosis using exhaled breath. Functionalised gold nanoparticles enable detection within a matter of seconds. The system is cost-effective, non-invasive and can be used without the need for laboratory facilities. The aim is to produce a fully functional, clinically validated prototype.
