Nanosonde – Mapping of metastasis-associated signalling pathways
Über das Projekt
In this interdisciplinary project, metastasis-associated signalling pathways in thyroid carcinoma cells are analysed using a proximity ligation assay to improve targeted pharmacotherapy. A wire probe manufactured by Invicol GmbH is used to isolate the cells; this probe binds to tumour cells via an antibody coating. The Laboratory for Biofluid Mechanics is developing an innovative nanostructure for the metal surface that exhibits blood cell-repellent properties in order to improve the probe’s specificity.
Electrochemical generation of nanostructures on metal surfaces to enhance blood-repellent properties.
