Collaborate with us

The distinctive feature of the ICM lies in its interdisciplinary structure: basic scientists from the fields of mathematics, physics, computer science, and biology work here on a permanent basis in close collaboration with clinicians. This close integration makes it possible to derive research questions directly from clinical practice, jointly develop innovative solutions, and validate them in a timely manner.
The ICM thus sees itself as a bridge between disciplines and as a platform for new forms of translational cardiovascular research. A central pillar of this is the German Heart Center at Charité (DHZC), which combines excellent clinical expertise with a strong scientific infrastructure and offers ideal conditions for translating new concepts into clinically relevant applications.

Since 2017, the ICM has been conducting successful research with academic and industrial partners in key areas of cardiovascular medicine and is actively committed to training and supporting the next generation of scientists.
