Congratulations to Dr.-Ing. Lukas Obermeier: The research associate at the Institute for Cardiovascular Computer-Assisted Medicine (ICM) has successfully completed his doctoral degree at the Technical University of Berlin.
In his dissertation titled “Image-based simulation of cardiac hemodynamics in the treatment of ventricular aneurysms,” Lukas Obermeier examined image-based simulation methods for analyzing cardiac hemodynamics in the treatment of ventricular aneurysms. The aim of the work is to make computer-aided models available for more precise treatment planning and, thereby, for more personalized cardiovascular medicine.
The dissertation defense took place on July 7, 2026, at the Technical University of Berlin. The dissertation committee consisted of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Michael Kraft, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Christian Oliver Paschereit, and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Leonid Goubergrits.
